CONCERT AND DANCE.
Successful Event at West Melton. The Roman Catholic parishioners of the Templeton-Lincoln district hteld a successful concert and dance in the West Melton Hall on Tuesday evening. There was an attendance of 250. An excellent concert programme was provided by Mrs J. H. Cox’s party and Miss Muriel Waugh’s pupils. The following gave items:—Misses Eunice Humphreys and Olliver, Messrs Collings, Cherry, Darragh and M’Mullen (songs), Miss Waugh (banjo solos). Miss Jewel Hawker (Highland Flir.g), Misses Flora Fitt, Irente Rees. Rose and Josephine Mercer and Manion (Irish Reel and Highland Reel). The accompaniments were played by Miss L. Waugh and Mrs Cox. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Carter and Mrs Hayes, Messrs Fitzgibbon and P. Serra. The supper tables had been artistically decorated by Miss Trickett. During the evening bouquets were presented to Mrs Cox and Miss Waugh. Tlve Rev Father Madden thanked all who had helped to make the concert such a financial success. Messrs Sommerfield and J. O’Regan were M.C.’s.
