TENNIS TOURNAMENT.

An all-day tennis tournament arranged by Misses Brigit Gresson, Nancy Buchanan and Sheila Macdonald provided much pleasure for the pla3 r ers yesterday, and also benefited the funds of the bran tub at the Fendalton Parish Fete to be held to-mor-row. Mrs John Grigg and Mrs J. F. Buchanan, of Fendalton Road, lent their courts for the tournament. An enjoyable picnic lunch was served. The winners of the tournament were Misses Marjorie M’Kellar and Chrystobel Bowen. The players were; Misses Janet Stevenson. Chrystobel Bowen, Jean Ballantyne, Margaret Cooper, Lois Ollivier, Celia Reese, Jean Gebbie, Marjorie M’Kellar, Lesley Hay, Jocelyn Francis, Philippa Acland, Sheila Cordner, Eunoe Thompson, Barbara Bloxam, Pauline Palmer, Elizabeth Morris, Nora Firth, Joyce Mac Gibbon, Joan Turnbull, Joan Whitcombe. June Wright, Dorothy Loughnan, Janet Williams and Joan Browne.
