AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
The second series of inter-club .athletics will be held at Lancaster Park to-morrow afternoon, starting at 2.15. The pronounced success of the opening day suggests that this will be a boom year in athletics. It is estimated that 300 runners will compete in the various events. So heavy are the entries in the track section of the programme that the circular track will he engaged continuously. Fine performances are expected in the 220yds, SSOyds and three miles and in the fuartor-mih? hurdles. Most of Canterbury’s stars, including M’Farlane, Broadway. Matthews. D. and A. Anderson and Boot will be se*?n in action.
