The Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, by direction of the Minister, has written to the Town Clerk on the following terms:— (1.) The wreath that will be laid by his Royal Highness on the Christchurch War Memorial is being brought over from Australia. I shall be glad, therefore, if you will thank Messrs A. and S. (2 ) Th'e kind invitation of the Bi«hop of Christchurch for his Royal Highness to pay a visit to Christ’s College is acknowledged. Unfortunately, into on behalf of his Royal Highness for the Sunday afternoon preclude acceptance of the invitation for that day. Difficulty would be experienced, also .in morning, and I am afraid that the visit to the College may not be provided for. May I ask you to so inform his Lordship? (3.)
