DROWNING TRAGEDY.
Fisherman Trapped When Launch Capsizes. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, November 22. John Harold Outram, aged thirtywho lived with his brother. Thomas, at Taieri mouth this morning. Outram. who lived with his brother. Thomas at Kuri Bush, was part, owner of a fishing launch in which he and his brother went fishing. When they were returning about 9.55 a.m., Thomas at the tiller and John in the engine room with the door closed, a large wave struck the boat and capsized it. Thomas was thrown out but he managed to free himself of his heavy boots and trousers and swam ashore, a distance of a mile and a half. He had to make his way against a strong outward current and was in the water tor over an hour. His brother John was trapped in the engine-room and drowned. . ~ , After the news was received a nsnerman went out and found Outram s launch about two miles down the coast in a waterlogged condition. He recovered the body of John Outram and towed the launch ashore.
