THEIR LAST VISIT.
Lord and Lady Bledisloe Entertained. The value of the agricultural research work carried out in New Zealand, the outstanding quality of the sheep exhibits, and the necessity for improvement in the breeds of cattle were amongst subjects mentioned by’ Lord Bledisloe in his speech at the official luncheon tendered to their Excellencies by’ the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association this afternoon. He also mentioned that his present visit was .his last to a Canterbury show, and spoke warmly- of the kindness and consideration shown to him and Lady Bledisloe by the farming community of New Zealand, and more particularly’ in Canterbury. The president, Mr G. Fulton, mentioned that it was their Excellencies’ final visit to the show. and spoke appreciatively of the great interest that Lord Bledisloe had taken in tiki affairs of the association, and farming affairs in the Dominion generally. On behalf of the association he ere tended to their Excellencies cordial wishes for their future happiness and prosperity.
