The sum of £2O was raised at Lyttelton as a result of the street day appeal in aid of the St John Ambulance Association. A meeting of the Sydenham W.C.T.U. was held recently in the Baptist Sunday School, Colombo Street. Devotions were led by Mrs Davies. Mrs Woodward. who presided, welcomed those present. The afternoon was held for the cradle roll children, and Mrs Files, superintendent of that department, entertained the children, several of whom gave items. Mrs Searle addressed the meeting, after which tea was served.
