ATTACKED BY DOG.

Six-year-old Boy Seriously Injured.

A six-year-old boy, .Hugh Bell, of 377. Barbadoes Street, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital to-day stiffering from severe injuries, alleged to be due to an attack by a dog. The. boy. it is stated, was passing a group of four dogs the intersection of Barbadoes Street and Oxford Terrace when one of them attacked him. The boy’s screams attracted the attention of passers-by and the boy was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by the St John Ambulance. An operation will be performed this afternoon. The police have taken charge of the flour dogs, the owners of which have not yet been identified.
