Reports that an unauthorised person had canvassed the Sprej-don district for new members for the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association were made at the meting of the association last night. Ihe president (the Rev F. T. Read) said that he did not think that any members would hand their subscriptions to an unknown man. Such matters should be reported promptly so that action could be taken, if necessary.
