House of Commons Rejects Proposal. United Press Assn.—By Klectric Telegraph—Cppyrigh* (Received November 8, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, November 7. The House of Commons by 219 votes to 47 rejected Sir William Davison’s amendment to the Betting and Lotteries Bill to legalise lotteries to be promoted under the Government’s authority for the reduction of the National Debt and other public services.
