PICTURESQUE CEREMONY.

Duke of Kent Introduced to House of Lords. British Official Wireless. (Received November 8, 12.45 p.m.) RUGBY, November 7. The Duke of Kent was introduced as a member of the House of Lords with picturesque ceremonial this afternoon. He was sponsored by his brothers, the Prince of Wales and Duke of York. All were robed in ermine and scarlet. They were led by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod and were followed by the Lord Great Chamberlain to the Woolsack, where the new member presented his writ of summons to the Lord Chancellor. The House was crowded to witness the ceremony.
