TEES HELD UP.

Dispute With Crew Over Wages. The Chatham Islands steamer Tees, which was scheduled to sail from Lyttelton at 1 o’clock yesterdav afternoon was delayed overnight owing to trouble with the crew. Just before sailing time, the master, Captain A. Anderson, was informed by a representative of the crew that the men w’ould not sail unless arrangements were made by which the crew ■would receive watersiders’ rates when engaged in working cargo at the Chathams. The demands were not conceded by the owners of the Tees. In addition to carrying stores the vessel has eleven passengers booked for Waitangi. Captain Anderson interviewed the men again this morning, but no settlement was reached.
