At this morning’s call the recent quietness in the banking “section was relieved by a sale r.f Nationals at 71s 6d, an advance of la fid in the laet three weeks. Subsequently thte market stood between *os and 735. Reserves were firm from £6 Us to £6 12s 3d. Auckland Gas shares were very firm with buyers at a new record price of 27b. and no sellers. In the mining division sharp advance was checked with sellers at 4s and no buyers. North Kalgoorlies made their first appearance on the list, being asked for at 235. In gilt-edged stocks.
