£SOO CHALLENGE.

Acceptance for Trotters’ Race. WORTHY QUEEN v. NELL YOLO Mr J. S. Shaw, owner of Worthy Queen, has accepted the challenge of Mr F. J. Smith, owner of the American mare Nell Yolo, to race any trotter over a mile lor a side wager of £SOO. Mr Shaw adds the following conditions to Mr Smith’s challenge; Three heats of a mile each from either a standing or a flying start, the best two out of three to take the stake. The match to take place about Christmas time, and the side-wagers to be augmented by the club on whose course the match is decided. Last week Mr Smith issued a challenge to the effect that he would race Nell Yolo against any trotter in New Zealand, the best out of five heats over one .mile from flying starts, for a stake of £SOO.
