IRISH MUSICAL PLAY.
The Catholic Drama Society will present the Irish musical play. “ Kathleen Aroon,” in the Radiant Hall to-morrow night. No doubt the popularity of the songs of Ireland will induce many to take the opportunity of hearing them in the delightful setting which the play provides. Mr Dan Foley is certain to achieve great things as the “wandering minstrel.” and his singing will he a feature of the entertainment. Miss Muriel Waugh has prepared some excellent ballets. Cecil Clark, the writer of the romance, preserves a discriminating continuity. Despite the frequent interludes. he has so evolved his plot that the musical numbers come before the audience as an integral part of the play. The character work is in the oanable hands of Eunice James as Mrs O’Toole. Ralph Dunne as Old Thndy. Tom Tobin, who plays Shaun the Handy Man, and Joe M’Glinchy as Phil Donovan. Thelma Cusack has a responsible role as the dainty little Iris maid, and Lilian Haughey, who plays Molly, is • ailed upon to do most of the “ silent acting which the plot demands. The box plan opened yesterday. Attention is drawn to the fact that the doors will not open until 7.45.
