Jury’s Verdict in Accident Case. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. October 27. After considering for nearly four and a half hours the issues put to them, the jury hearing a by Alfred Herbert Williams, a furniture salesman, o! Wellington, against Stanley Read, a dairy taimer, for £2338 damages for less and injuries resulting from an accident near Tawa Flat. :eturned with a verdict in favour of the plaintiff, whom they awarded £290 2s 9d. However, counsel for the defendant was given seven days in which to move for a new trial, on the ground mat the jury’s answers to the issues were inconsistent.
