Avonside Girls’ High School. SUCCESSFUL MEETING. Favoured with fine weather, the Avonside Girls’ High School sports, held yesterday on the school ground, were a great success. A close contest saw Peggy Tucker win the senior championship with 25 points. Judy Macfarlan© (23 points) was runner-up. The junior championship went to Alva Dorreen, who secured 21 points. Joan Grade (16 points) was runner-up, and Noeline Jarvis, with 14 points, was third. The house championship was won by Oressy House, with 934 points. Charlotte Jane House was runner-up with. 744 points, and Seymour House (654 points) was third. At the conclusion of the wports, trophies and prizes were presented by Mr A. K.
