WEST COAST EXCURSION

An excursion has been arranged for Sunday, November 25, by the Christchurch Corsair Social Club. The excursionists will arrive in Greymouth for breakfast, and will leave by a special train at 8.30 for Hokitika. After a stay of three and a half hours, the same train will leave Hokitika at 1 p.m. for Lake Mahinapua, where three hours will be enjoyed before leaving on the homeward journey. Arrangements have also been made to convey excursionists by motor from Hokitika for 100 miles through the wonders of the South AVestland roads. The New Brighton Municipal Band will also travel and will give concerts at Greymouth and Hokitika.

The Sydenham Methodist Sunday School will hold its anniversary services to-morrow. The children have been well trained by Mr M’Calfrey, and the songs chosen for this year are exceptionally tuneful.
