The wedding plans for the marriage of the Duke of Kent and Princess Marina are announced from Buckingham Palace. Princess Marina’s eight bridesmaids include three who are under fifteen years of age, namely Princess Elizabeth, Lady Iris Mountbatten, who is aged fourteen, and the daughter of the Marquess of Carisbrooke, Lady Mary Cambridge, aged ten, who is a niece of the Queen.

Others are: Princess Juliana, the Grecian Princesses Irene, Katherin and Eugenie and a Russian, the Grand Duchess Kira.
