KING INVITED.

Mrs Mollison’s Offer of Trip Declined. “I'M GETTING PAST THAT." United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received October 20, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, October 19. 44 Would you like to go with us, sir?” said Mrs Amy Mollison to the King, as his Majesty expressed admiration of the Mollison’s Black Magic. Mrs Mollison added: “We will soon be flying in fine, warm weather.” The King smilingly declined, saying: 44 I’m afraid I am getting past that sort of thing.” The Prince of Wales, on J. Woods being introduced, inquired how his preparations were progressing. Woods, who earlier was the victim of many official delays, bluntly told the Prince that he thought the people of England were very slow.

Asked how he found them, the Prince shrewdly replied: “I don’t know them yet.”
