NEW TAXI FARES.
To Be Strictly Enforced by Council. Instructions have been issued to the traffic department of the City Council by’ the By-laws Committee that the new scale of taxi fares which came into operation on Wednesday are to be strictly enforced. Taxi drivers who do not charge the stipulated fares will be prosecuted by the council for breach of the by-law.
