MINISTERIAL. The Prime Minister and Mrs Forbes will arrive in Christchurch from Wellington to-morrow morning. They will attend the Woodend School jubilee tomorrow and the Rangiora races on Monday. Mr Justice Frazer arrived from the north this morning. Professor H. G. Denham and Mr R. W. Hawke, M.P., arrived from the north this morning. Messrs J. Peacock and A. G. Macdonald (Wellington) are stay-ing at the Clarendon Hotel. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr J. O. White was passed at this morning's meeting of the Canterbury Education Board. Messrs T. B. Tomkinson and A. Kelly (Akron, Ohio), V. Macpherson Jones and C. Ronaldson (Wellington) are guests at the Clarendon Hotel. Mr D. I. Macdonald, secretary- of the Canterbury- Employ-ers’ Association, was a passenger to Wellington by the Rangatira last evening. The Rev C. B. Jordan' has accepted an invitation to remain a further year as minister in charge of the Addington circuit of the Methodist Church. Messrs W. G. Barnard (London), J. Sowers (Wellington),- N. Thompson (Blenheim) and P. A. Fairclough (Timaru) arc staying at the New CityHotel.

Mr 11. 11. Wauchop was re-elected chairman of the Victory Park Board at the annual meeting • last evening. Mr Wauchop has been a member of the board since 1919. At the conference of the Town Planning Institute at Wellington yesterday the following officers were elected: President, Mr S. Blackley; vice-presi-dents, Messrs A. R. Galbraith and H. F. Butcher; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr J. W. Mawson; honoraryeditor of journal, Mr J. W. Mawson. Replying to a motion congratulating him on representing the province of New Zealand at the coming Church Assembly- in Melbourne, Bishop West-Watson said in the Anglican Sy-nod yesterday- that he regretted that the Primate, Archbishop Averill, would not attend. New Zealand should be represented by a bred-in-the-bone New Zealander who had lived his life and carried out his life-work in the Dominion. He felt himself, as a comparative newcomer, rather inadequate as a representative of New Zealand. Mr H. H. Sterling, chairman. Sir James Gunson, Messrs G. W. Reid and D. Reese, members of the Government Railways Board, accompanied by Mr E. Casey, acting general manager, arrived in Christchurch from Dunedin this morning after having toured the main line between Christchurch and Invercargill. Mr Sterling will remain in Christchurch till to-morrow evening, when he will leave for Wellington. Sir James Gunson and Mr Casey- will travel north this evening and Mr Reid returned to Dunedin by the midday- express to-day. Mr Sterling is staying at the United Service Hotel.
