Problems of interest to fruitgrowers, such as the embargo on the importation of Australian citrus fruits and methods of spraying, were discussed at a meeting of the Canterbury Fruitgrowers’ Association last night. The president (Mr F. W. Sisson) said that he did not object to a certain amount of oranges coming into New Zealand, and felt that some action should be taken to have New Zealand potatoes imported into Australia, where the price, owing to a shortage, was many times greater than in Canterbury.
