CHANGES HANDS.

Old Established Business of Tonks, Norton. MR P. COLLINS THE PURCHASER. The old-established business of Tonks, Norton and Co., auctioneers, of 105. Hereford Street, formed in 1888, has changed hands. The purchaser is Mr P Collins, of the firm of Smithson and Smithson, and he took over yesterday. Mr Collins stated this morning that the business would be carried on under the same name, and, although there had been a change of management, there would be no break in the continuity of the firm. The business was formed in 1888. starting first on the site now occupied by Kincaid’s, Ltd. A move was made later to the present site in Hereford Street, where Bowman’s business, also an auctioneering firm, was bought out. It was formed into a limited liability company in 1914, just before the war. '
