YOUNG WOMAN MISSING.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, September 30. The police received word on Satur- j day that a young woman named Kath- i leen Jane, twenty-four years of age, j had been missing since the previous j day. She left her place of residence shortly after 8 a m. on Friday for work 1 in a Gisborne warehouse, but since i then no trace of her can lx: found. On Saturday a purse belonging to the missing girl was found on the breakwater. The police searched the vicinity j of the breakwater on Saturday and ! to-day,*but the effort was fruitless. The girl's only relatives, her mother and j married step-sister, reside in Hamilton. !
