Termination of Dancing Class. On Saturday afternoon Chief G. M. Telfer presided at the termination of the Scottish Society’s dancing class. Chief Telfer extended a welcome to the large attendance of parents. Chieftain R. M. Spiers and Councillors ,T. Williamson and M. Shier, assisted by the dancing mistress, Miss Cathie Walton, were in charge of the programme. At the conclusion of the programme, medals were presented by Mrs G. M. Telfer to the most improved boy and girl of the 1934 pupils. The winners 'jere Jock M’Lachlan and Priscilla Smith. The medals were donated by Pipe-Major M’Lachlan and members of the council. Afternoon tea was served. Chief Telfer, on behalf of the members of the society, thanked Miss Walton for the splendid work she had done during the season. The following items were given: Highland fling, by senior pupils; duet, Helen and Margaret Patterson; Highland reel. senior pupils: recitation, Thelma Buist; song. Priscilla Smith; tap dance, Betty Durie and Ler.ore Upton; acrobatic dance, Bonnie Sanders; Irish jig, Una Sanders and Joan M'Dona’d: tap dance. Mary Donaldson; Highland fling, junior pupils: hornpipe, Alma Kennedy and June Napier; song. Malvine Upton; Seann Triubhais, Betty Burgoy (West Coast): reel o’ Tulloch. Betty Durie. Jean M Donald. Una and Bonnie Sanders. Mrs Creagh was accompanist. Pipe-Major M’Lachlan piped for the ll’ >qnd dancing.
