According to the Gazette amendments to the Stock Act, 1908, have made it possible to import dogs to New Zealand without placing them in quarantine at a quarantine ground. The amending Order-in-Council relates the introduction of dogs from the United Kingdom, the only country, apart from the States of New South Wales, Victoria, South' Australia and Tasmania in the Commonwealth of Australia from which their introduction into the Dominion is permitted.
