Inter-borough Shooting Match. The annual inter-borough shooting match between Xew Brighton and Sumner was fired at the Xew Brighton range on Saturday night. The Xew Brighton team won by five points, after Sumner had held the trophy for four years in succession. Mr T. H. Hobbs, the Xew Brighton captain, welcomed the visitors. Mr C. Hart, the Sumner captain, said that, he noticed that the Xew Brighton Club would be losing one of its best shots in Mr D. Bright. The Rev D. B. Ashford asked the Xew Brighton team to convey Sumner's best wishes for success in his new sphere. Scores: Xew Brighton—D. Bright 70, T. H. Hobbs 67. F. Whlteley 70, L. Duncan 67, E. Henderson 66, V. Jerrard 69. C. Hart 68. A. M’Dowell 69; total 680. Six-a-side Hockey. The Rawhiti Women’s Hockey Club held a six-a-side competition on the Rawhiti Domain on Saturday to close the season. Four teams entered and the competition was won by the B team by two points. The Deputy-Mayor OK A. E. La wry) presented the winning team with the Shaw Cup. The team consisted of Misses A. Moses. E. Perrin, L. Hall. X. Cat term ole, C. Jnglis and J. Tindall. The referees were Mesdames I. Eden and M. Moses.
