MODEL YACHTING.
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed off their third club race of the season on Saturday at Victoria Lake. The wind was a medium nor’-wester in the first heat, and blew from the northeast, south-west and north-west in the second. Ten boats entered, and sailed under the supervision of Mr J. L. Ruxton. Results:— First Heat—E. Hope's Kea (handicap 4min 20sec) 1. H. J. Bowlker’s Tuna (4min 20sec) 2, R. C. Munto's Dolphin (scr) 3, B. George’s Blue TBird (3mln 40soc) 4, J. Matthews’s Beta (Gmin 20 sec) 5. Time—3Umin. Second Heat—Dolphin 1, W. S. Kingston’s Pateena (lmin 20sec) 2. Kea 3. The only boats to finish in the time limit. Time—3sm in. The filial result was:—Kea and Dolphin tie for first with 11 points each, and Pateena and Tuna tie for third with 5 points each.
