HEALTH OF GIRL WORKERS.

A request that the Department of Health should insist on woo#en floors being constructed in concrete buildings, in the interests of the health of women and girl workers, has been submitted to the Minister by Mr J. Roberts, secretary of the New Zealand Clothing Trades Federation. The letter states that the federation has received several complaints from the Auckland district of the ill-health of girls, caused by their being forced to keep their feet on concrete floors for long periods.
