THEFT ADMITTED.

Young Woman Before Court in Wellington. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 6. When the case in which Ruby Buliiffe, aged 26, and Olive May Fletcher, 24 years, were charged with the theft of £ls from Kenneth ITaywood Taylor May, of New Plymouth, was resumed in the Police Court to-day, counsel for the accused said that after further consultation with his clients, and the relatives of one of them, he desired to enter a plea of guilty, and elected to have the case dealt with summarily. The Magistrate remanded the accused till to-morrow for a report from the probation officer. It was stated that all the money had been recovered. When the women appeared yesterday they elected trial by jury. May, in evidence, said he met the two accused in a lounge in the Regent Hotel. After shouting for them he took them to dinner. He accompanied them to a cabaret at Lyell Bay, where they had drinks and supper. After supper he felt ill and, on his way to town, he had to leave the taxi. The accused were very concerned and did their best to assist him, but, when he got back to the taxi, they were not there. ; On reaching his hotel he found that his money was not in his pockets.
