“ Under party government, no farsighted legislation nor planning is possible except in the interest of a particular clan,” said Mr K. M. Gresson,speaking at a meeting of the New Zealand Legion last evening. New Zealand had in prospect a Labour Government, he continued, and, apart altogether from the question whether that party’s expressed policy would cure the country’s ills, this meant the Government would be controlled by a body outside the House.
