The Australian Association has been asked to submit fifteen names in the order most desired from whom the first six mentioned will be selected to meet the Americans. New Golf Architect. J. T„ Black, of the Hutt Club, has blossomed out as a golf course architect, and his wide experience of New Zealand and Australian links should stand him in good stead. He has already made a start in his new role, as the committee of the. Shandon Club recently engaged him to bunker three of the holes on their course. Black has made a good job of it, too (says the “Dominion”) and his bunkering scheme will compel players in future to play shots at these holes with care.
