Mr George Wirth Meets Will Rogers Again. SYDNEY, July 'IS. Before returning from America in the Niagara, Mr and Mrs George Wirth talked with “ The Cherokee Kid,” to whom they gave a job in Wirth’s Circus when it visited Sydney in 1903. f ‘ The Cherokee Kid ” is now known to the world as Will Rogers, famous film comedian. Mr Wirth said that Will Rogers was new a millionaire, and a twelve-dollars-a-werd after-dinner speake.. They also met Mrs Rogers, who said that she had a debt of gratitude to him and his wife. When Will Rogers got his job in the circus, Mrs Wirth had made for him a black and red velvet suit, in which he later appeared at the St Louis World Fair. Mrs Rogers had said that it was this suit which caught her eye. She had known Will previously, and, after seeing him in that suit, she decided to renew their acquaintance. The marriage soon followed.
