DISTRESS FOR RENT.
Abolition of Provision in Act. (“Star ” Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, July 24. The announced intention of the Government to abolish the provision in the Distress and Replevin Act for summary distress for rent was confirmed in the House this afternoon, when the Hon J. G. Cobbe gave notice of his intention to introduce a measure to bring about this result.
