Walker and Detton Draw. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. July 23. Anticipating lively wrestling a large crowd assembled at the Town Hall to -witness a return match between George Walker and Dean Detton. After eight rounds of strenuous wrestling the referee gave his . decision as a draw. Each contestant /had gained a fall. Walker won the first fall wtih a slam and press in the fifth round. Detton was stunned, but made a good recovery. He evened falls in the seventh round with a body scissors and press, after cleverly evading another slam. Ali Bey Defeats Wong Buk. WELLINGTON, July 23. Neither Ali Bey nor Wong Buk Cheung made any noticeable impression on a comparatively small house at the Wellington Town Hall during six rounds of 'a professional wrestling contest this evening. While both men gave agonised screams at times the audience did not appear to appreciate that the bout was sufficiently strenuous and the holds sufficiently punishing to warrant them. The Turk won bv two falls to one. He took the first fall in the third round with, a crotch hold and dump. Wong equalised in the fourth with a press, following a flying body scissors. The deciding fall arrived in the sixth when the Turk dumped the Chinese and pressed him. Mamos Beaten. DUNEDIN, July 23. Alamos lost his bout with Aleyer to--night. When in the sixth round he threw the latter over the ropes. Mamos also went over on to the floor, being unable to continue. Alamos already had one fall in, having pinned Aleyer with a body press following an aeroplane spin.
