SENATOR RETIRING.

MELBOURNE, July 22. The Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, announces that Sir Harry Lawson, who is one of the retiring Victorian senators, will not seek re-election in the coming Federal election because of personal and business reasons. At the request of Mr Lyons Sir Harry will continue to act as Honorary Minister until I after the election. Sir Harry Lawson 1 was formerly Premier of Victoria.
