COMING-OF-AGE DANCE.
Yachting Club’s Secretary Honoured. At the Rolleston Street Hall Mr and Mrs T. Tyson entertained a number of friends to celebrate the twenty-first birthday of their eldest son, Alwin. Dancing and games were thoroughly enjoyed by the guests. The supper table was gay with the colours of the Pleasant Point Yacht Club, of which the guest of honour is secretary. The birthday cake, decorated with a yacht and club badges, was cut by Miss Doreen Hart. The toast of the evening was proposed by Mr J. Wood, and that of “The Parents” by Mr F. Woodward. During the evening Mr A. Clements on behalf of the Yacht Club presented an engraved shaving set. Messrs F. Woodward and Mr A. Clements were Masters of Ceremonies.
