STAFF DANCE.

Messrs S. Cook Ltd.’s Employees. A FESTIVE OCCASION. The success of the first annual dance held by the staff of Messrs S. Cook. Ltd., at Dixieland or. Saturday evening was due in no small measure to the organising ability of the committee members. The completeness of their arrangements, combined with the friendly spirit which prevails among the staff members, made the evening a particularly enjoyable one. A spirited programme of dance music was supplied by the Dixieland Orchestra and Miss Sheelah Chapman and Mr Rex Foster entertained the guests with a pleasing exhibition dance. Mr and Mrs S. Cook were the guests of honour. Mrs Cook wore an azure blue ring velvet frock with a wind- j swept velvet coatee. A presentation J of a shaving set was made to Mr i Cook by Miss M. M’Kenzie in honour of his birthday. Members of the dance committee were Miss Phyllis Robinson, who wore a lipstick red ring velvet frock relieved with gold; Miss M. M’Kenzie, black net frock with orange chenille coatee; Miss Ethel Hall, gray marocain frock made with puffed sleeves and trimmed with grey roses; Miss Alice Moses, turquoise blue frock trimmed with embossed georgette; and Miss Doreen, Herbert, begonia pink net frock inset with frilled godets. Mr David Cook, who was honorary secretary to the dance committee, was also master of ceremonies for the evening.
