GIFTS TO MUSEUM.

A small collection of stone implements found on Pitt Island has been presented to the Canterbury Museum by Major G. F. Hutton. The collection includes a fine specimen of the patu, a flat, wedge-shaped implement, an adze, and small adzes and gouges. A fine specimen of a small owl has been presented by Mrs F. Milner, of Amberley; and a collection of a group , of New Zealand insects has been given by Mr A. L. Tonnoir, who collected the [group during his stay in New Zealand.
