RANGIORA NEWS.

Visit by K&iapoi R.S.A. Members. On Saturday evening many members of the Kaiapoi branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association visited the Rangiora branch and spent an enjoyable evening in playing a billiards and cards match. Two games of billiards and two of snooker were won by the visitors, and of two card games played, the visitors won one. The president. Mr J. W. Macleod, thanked the Kaiapoi members for their visit, which was very enjoyable. The president also thanked Mr A. Lane for the donation of a wall clock for the club room. Methodist Church.

There was a large attendance at the Methodist Church last evening, when a musical service was held. The service was conducted by the Rev T. Coatsworth, the musical portion being arranged by the organist, Mr A. Lane, who also conducted the singing. The choir was assisted by Mr W. Marsden, who sang the solo, “ Yele.” A duet was also sung by Miss T. Ayers and Mr C. E. Bell, “ O Love Divine." The choir sang the anthems, “ I am Alpha and Omega,” “ The King of Love,” Prayer ” and “ The Day Thou Gavest," and also a solo and chorus, ’ Jerusalem.” For the morning services yesterday at the Methodist Church, the Rev L. Burnett (Kaiapoi) and the Rev T, Coatsworth exchanged pulpits.
