MISS JEAN BATTEN.

Receives Presentation From Aero Clubs. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, July 21. Miss Jean Batten, on her return to Blenheim at the conclusion of her South Island tour, was entertained at a large gathering. Miss Batten was presented by Mr G. M. Spence, president of the New Zealand Aero Club, with a cheque for £9O on behalf of various clubs in the Dominion. Miss Batten also received a silver life membership badge of the Marlborough Club. She will leave for Wellington to-day. Welcome at Wanganui. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, July 21. Miss Jean Batten arrived from Blenheim before noon. Four planes piloted by Wanganui girls went out to meet her and escorted her to the aerodrome. Miss Batten was accorded a civic welcome at the Opera House, where there was a large attendance.
