CHANGE OF NAME.
Known somewhat vaguely as the Lily Circle a small section of the horticultural community in Christchurch intends to make a bid for definite recognition and greater prominence through the constitution of a body to be known as the New Zealand Lily Society. Objection to the name Lily Circle was taken by a member at the annual meeting last night on the grounds that it savoured of a mother’s meeting. It was explained that a set of rules was being drafted, and •when certain formalities had been discussed with the Canterbury Horticultural Society, the question of name will be decided definitely.
