Cows, fowls and Angora rabbits are to be kept on the thirty-acre farm, which the Boys’ Employment Committee has secured for the training of unemployed boys, on Avondale Road, Wainoni. In reporting on the work to the meeting of the committee yesterday afternoon, Mr W. M’Allister said that the four boys at present working on the farm would be replaced after three months. They were keen and happy in their work. Six cows were being milked, and milk was sold direct from the farm. A certain amount of cultivation was to be done for winter feed and the keeping of Angora rabbits and fowls would be taken up as sidelines. WHEN A MAN IS NATURAL. If a man is not thinking about himself he is himself.— William Morris.
