The sweepstakes in this race varies according to the time of entry. How substantial it is can be gathered from the fact that the race last year was worth £9122 to the winner. The Aga Khan also provided the runner-up twelve months ago, when Firdaussi was second to Loaningdale. The fact that King Salmon is by The Tetrarch horse Salmon Trout rather rubbed yesterday’s result in, as his Highness raced Salmon Trout himself and won the St Leger of 1924 with him. The preparation of Umidwar for the Derby was interrupted and he will now have many admirers for the St Leger to be run at Doncaster in September. As a three-year-old last season. King Salmon won the Great Yorkshire Stakes of £I9OO. He was runner-up in both the Two Thousand Guineas and the Derby. “ TOGO ” LEAVES ENGLAND. LONDON, July 10.
