FAREWELL PARTY.
Army Officers Are Entertained.
Colonel and Airs S. C. P. Nicholls, St Andrew’s Square, entertained many of the officers of the New Zealand Permanent Forces and their wives at an afternoon party yesterday in honour of Lieutenant-Colonel and Airs Puttick, who will leave next week for Wellington. Aliss Joy Nicholls helped her mother in her duties as hostess. Among: the guests were: Major and Mrs W. I. K. Jennings, Major and Mrs A. B. Williams. Captain and Mrs W. Murphy, Captain and Mrs M. A. Stedman. Captain and Mrs K. J. Walker. Captain and Mrs Guy Felton. Lieutenant Colin Davis. Mrs J. I. Brookes, lieutenant and Mrs Nicol (Burnham), FlightLieutenant and Mrs V. J. SomersetThomas.
