PORT OF LYTTELTON. lonic Due To-morrow to Load. Rain delayed work on the Lyttelton waterfront yesterday and none of the vessels in port were able to work overtime last evening. The Orari and Tairoa will now leave Lyttelton tomorrow. The Storm and the tanker Varanger, with bulk motor spirits for the Atlantic Union Oil Co., arrived this morning. The S. S. and A. Company’s liner lonic is due from Port Chalmers to-morrow to load for London.

The Union Company’s steamer Omana, which has been laid up in the stream for some time, is now undergoing general overhaul at the Patent Slip Wharf, Wellington. CANADIAN VICTOR AT BRISBANE. Canadian Victor, from Montreal, arrived at Brisbane last Friday. She is now due at Dunedin about July 31, thence to Lyttelton to load for New York. Boston and Montreal. CANADIAN BRITISHER THROUGH PANAMA. Canadian Britisher, which left Wellington on May 22 for New York, Boston and Montreal, via Australia, arrived at Balboa on July 8, and left Colon c-n July 9. TAMAHINE’S OVERHAUL. The overhaul of the Picton ferry steamer Tamahine has been further delayed. She is now to withdraw on her arrival at Wellington on Saturday, August 18, when she will pay off and lay up. The Arahura, chartered by the Union Company to maintain the service, will leave Wellington at 11 p.m. on Monday, August 20, and "will continue to sail from Wellington on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from Picton on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at that hour. On her arrival at Wellington on Sunday, September 2, she will be returned to the Anchor Company. The Tamahine is to resume' her usual running from Wellington at 2.45 p.m. on v Monday, September 3.
