The following are the best cards returned in the qualifying: round of the Members’ Cup played at Avondale on Saturday. The first fifteen qualified for p’ay-off under match play conditions:—

Miss Willis plays Miss K. Ward, Miss Wilkinson plays Mrs Scott, Mrs Knowles plays Mrs Falconer, Miss Curtis plays Miss Evans. Mrs Blyth plays Mrs PidgeOn, Miss T. Webb plays Miss Wright. Miss F. Ward plays Mrs Hanna. Miss Irving plays Miss Mitchell, Miss Purves plays Miss M’Crostle. Miss Jones plays Miss N. Benjamin, Miss Smithson plays scorer.
In the third round of the lenock-out foursome, Mrs Leech and Miss' Penn beat Mrs Blyth and Mrs Falconer, Mrs Hanna and Miss Jones heat Miss Smithson and Miss Mitchell. Miss Morton and Miss Wright beat Mrs Walton and Mrs Wilkin, Miss Fleming and Miss Nutt beat Mrs Lawry and Miss Stewart. Any Junior players who are not in the draw for the qualifying round on Thursday may enter for the flag match. The medal match played during th* week-end was won by Miss E. Ward. Entries for the knock-out competition for week-end players close on Thursday.
