ACCEPTANCES.

Wellington Racing Club’s Meeting. Per Press Association. WEIJJNGTOX, July 2. Following- are the acceptances for the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting:— 11.30 a.m.

MR G. J. BARTON’S TEAM

Appointment of New

Trainer.

The Dunedin sportsman, Mr G. J. Barton, has decided to take over the stables of the late Mr W. J. Tomkinson, at Addington, where his pacers and trotters will in future be trained by F. C. Dunleavy. The property is excellently equipped, there being numerous well-appointed loose-boxes and enclosures. There are about three acres of land attached to the training establishment. Mrs Tomkinson and her family will continue to occupy the house. ... F. C. Dunleavy was associated with the late Mr Tomkinson for about seventeen years. Fie will have the assistance of J. Fraser, jun., who will probably do all the riding and driving. Fraser has displayed marked ability as a horseman, and in Dunleavy and Fraser Mr Barton has a happy and capable combination of talent that should do well for him.

Among the horses that will be kept in regular training are Indianapolis, Tempest, Compass, Biddj’ Parrish, Chenwood, a novice pacer by Kelson Derby, and Mountain Dell.
