Holders of the “ Gold Roses ” Are Defeated. Further matches were played at the Olympia Indoor Bowling Rink last evening. In a challenge for the " Gold Roses,' the holders (M’Gimpsey’s rink) were beaten by Fraser, Atkins, Williams and Memmott (skip) by 28 points to IS. A match was played for the Carl Madsen Shield between Sydenham and Opawa, Sydenham winning by 61 points to 48. Results (Sydenham skips first): Madsen 24, Tregurtha t»; Butt 20, Roilinson 16; Coombes 17, M’Kenzie 23. National Team.
